Engelmann Spruce, most well known for its excellent tone quality, is an amazingly strong, light and flexible wood and has exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. It can also showcase beautiful colour and characteristics that could give your guitar a unique look and feel.

This unique top has a very rare burl growth mixed with an extremely unique pink colour pattern and bulging tight grain. The top has excellent silk and cross grain fleck as well as a few bands of bear claw. The large bear claw like feature is due to the burl growth. We are calling it dragon’s claw. 

A small knot limits the layout possibilities for this top a little. Knot enters 80mm from outer edge and extends 225-285m from the top.
