Douglas Fir is an easily worked tone wood with excellent tap tone. Grain spacing is consistent and even across the top with little to no variation. Grain may be tighter or wider. Sold as a book matched set.
This top is the exact one shown in the photos. It features distinct bug holes that can be used as a sound hole or some other feature that the artist desires. This tree was cut in the early 2000s and has been stored inside ever since making this top well aged and ready to use after acclimation to your workshop.
