Engelmann Spruce, most well known for its excellent tone quality, is an amazingly strong, light and flexible wood and has exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio. It also has beautiful uniform colour, usually a cream to almost white.
AA grade is a high quality top with minimal visible defects.
Log #290 was cut in 2014 green and has been stored indoors since. This well aged top is ready to be worked. There is some splitting damage on the outer edges of the top, but leaves plenty of room for a dreadnought guitar pattern. See photos for reference of the actual top.
