Log #228 - Harvested 2008
This Engelmann Spruce was cut in 2008 and stored in a dry attic for over 15 years, allowing it to age naturally and develop excellent acoustic properties. Engelmann is known for its light weight, high stiffness-to-mass ratio, and clear, balanced tonal response—ideal for guitar soundboards that require both sensitivity and projection.
The attic was reorganized in 2021, and we carefully recovered and sorted what remained. These tops have been air-dried for nearly two decades and offer a tonal maturity that only time can provide.
