Log #39 - Harvested 1994
This Engelmann Spruce was cut in 1994 and stored in a dry attic for 20 years, allowing it to age naturally and develop excellent acoustic properties. Engelmann is known for its light weight, high stiffness-to-mass ratio, and clear, balanced tonal response—ideal for guitar soundboards that require both sensitivity and projection.
The attic was reorganized in 2021, and we carefully recovered and sorted what remained. These tops have been air-dried for two decades and offer a tonal maturity that only time can provide.
